Question

Web Access URL search with the document page view result

asked on August 6, 2014

The following URL works perfectly for my client as far as launching web access with the search result document. Is there a change that can be made to the URL to automatically open the results in the document page view without having to click on the document to open it up?

Template: Long Form Contracts

Field: Long Form Contracts – Contractor Number

Entry Type: Document

http://dcasrv2/laserfiche/index.aspx?db=LDC-Repository#search%3D{[Long%20Form%20Contracts]%3A[Contractor%20Number%20]%3D%22034890%22}%20%26%20{LF%3AName%3D%22*%22%2C%20Type%3D%22D%22}%3Bview%3Dsearch

Are you saying this result should only return one document? If it's returning multiple documents, how would you expect the system to pick the right one to open?

The documentation has an option you can use to open up a search if the result is only one entry. I have listed it below for you.

Here's some information from the LF Documentation:

You can also write your own repository search URL using the following syntax:

    • repositoryname = Laserfiche Repository
    • searchquery = Laserfiche search syntax
    • imageenable=true = Web Access will automatically open the imaged document if there is only one document returned in the search result.

Hi!  I'm wondering if I did something just "slightly" wrong.  The documents should have one and only one corresponding entry, unless there was human error.

http://lsi-plf-web/laserfiche/#search={[]:[Document ID]="%(RetrieveFieldValues_Document ID)"} & {LF:LOOKIN="LASERSPINEINSTITUTE\Finance\Accounts Payable"};view=search;imageenable=true

When I review the above, it "seems" like I have the syntax correct to automatically open a single entry, but it just brings up the item in a list.  Help!

Thanks,

Toyia

For the single document result search that may be exactly what I am looking for.  I will give it a try.  Thanks for the help!!
