Question

Web Scanning Settings

asked on August 5, 2014

Our organization uses the same computers, same scanners, company wide. We are all going to be scanning often through LFScan9.0

Does anyone know where the scanner config file is? I would like to just copy and paste it to everyone's PC and not have to go to each machine and run through the setup. I tried the LFScan.Config in the Laserfiche\Scanning folder but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Dave,

I'm pretty sure this isn't a config file as such. It is stored somewhere is HKEY_CURRENT_USER in the registry. Where exactly I'm not sure and can't see off the top of my head. As a temporary workaround and test you could try exporting a test users HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Laserfiche key and try copying it on a new workstation and see if the prompts appear upon launching the scanning. That will at least point you in the right direction.

Failing that Laserfiche may have to chime in here to tell you the exact location.

Hope this helps for now! yes

The scanner selection is saved per Windows user in the user attributes in Laserfiche. There is no way of inheriting it from the Everyone group.
