Question

I need to edit a fillabel PDF file and save it back to LF with WebAccess or LF Portable

asked on August 1, 2014

I am storing fillable PDF files in Laserfiche that attorneys will use to record what happened in court.  I need to open it, make changes and then save those changes for the next time using Web Access or LF Portable.  I've done some testing and it doesn't appear like this is possible?  I hope I'm wrong because this could be a big deal.

Please advise.  Thanks

Sandy

After you check out the file and save it locally, open and edit the PDF. Once you are done editing the file, save the changes. The changes will be applied to the local copy. Now go back into Web Access and check the PDF back in. You would just select the local PDF file to check back in.

Using Web Access, they can check out the PDF, fill it out, and then check it back in.

I tried checking out the document - it saved a file to my desktop - I edited the version on my desktop and hit the save icon in the lower left.  When I open the document my changes aren't saved.  This is the same file where I know I was able to save the changes with the Laserfiche client.  Am I missing something?

Thanks
