Scanning "You must enter a valid directory name"

I have a user who has been scanning happily for quite awhile. Now suddenly when she tries to scan a document it says "You must enter a valid directory name" and she cannot continue. what am I missing?

What scan engine is being used? This message would appear when using Universal Capture and a proper "Search Directory" isn't specified. In that situation, you would see the error "You must enter a valid input directory name."

 

You can go into Scanner Setup and select a valid directory to look for images in. Or if the intent isn't to use Universal Capture, you can change the scan source.

Thanks. That gave me the right clue. somehow the user had changed her "scan source" to universal capture, rather than Twain source so the scan module was looking for her to point to a drive letter. Once we changed her back to TWAIN it worked again.
