File Version, Size and Type restriction

1) Any kind of document like Electronic document or LF Pages is not storing only the difference, it creates the copy of existing document with new changes. Am I Right?

2) I would like to restrict the user to store/upload Electronic document or LF Pages for certain size only. Like restricted to 5 MB only by any method (drag and drop, QF, Save to Laserfiche or any other).

3) I would like to restrict the user to store/upload for certain type of files like .exe, .mov, .wav

How can I achieve this?

Hi Ashish,

When versioning is enabled yes there are separate files stored in the background of Laserfiche in the volumes (for electronic documents anyway, not sure about images).

As for restricting file sizes that can be imported and what type of files can be imported this is not currently possible. And I can't think of a way around this other than maybe something with the SDK. This is probably because when you import an email it could have anything attached to it and could potentially cause an error if file import types are restricted. I have asked this in the past as a feature request myself.

Laserfiche didn't seem too keen though....
