Question

Forms SQL Database

asked on July 22, 2014

Trying to add Forms to our system. Installed Forms, created LFForms database in SQL Express 2008 instance that also has Laserfiche database, Forms Config page loads, server sees SQL Instance, Windows Authentication, sees Database Name "LFForms".  Always getting this

error;

ERROR [08004] [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]The server principal "ABS\ABS-WEB$" is not able to access the database "LFForms" under the current security context.

Can anyone help I am out of ideas.

Thank you

Is the Laserfiche Forms Routing Service and/or the FormsAppPool identity set to the Local System account? That account may not have enough rights in SQL. Try using a different Windows account (one that you know has rights to SQL) for both the service and application pool. Then restart both the service and application pool and try again.

You can also try to connect to the SQL Server and database using SQL Authentication instead of Windows Authentication.
