Workflow - Attach Electronic Document from local disk

asked on July 15, 2014

I am trying to use the Attach Electronic Document from local disk activity for the first time. I have browse enabled to all locations and when I browse to any file I get a message that a file to upload has not been set. Here is an example where I choose a PDF from the Workflow program files folder.

It looks like there is indeed an issue causing this that will be fixed in the next release. For a workaround:

Put the Attach Electronic Document activity inside of a For Each File Activity and point the For Each File at a Windows File Directory folder that only contains the PDF that you want to attach:

For some reason this gives me the message when running the workflow:

No entry was specified.

I pointed the for each file to a folder in the workflow program files folder with just a single csv in it.

Does the entry that you are attaching it to exist? Ie if it is the starting entry does this workflow have a starting entry?

ha! It has been so long since I built the workflow I had forgot this one doesn't use a starting entry. It works perfectly, sweet workaround! Thank you

This is an issue in Workflow 9.1 that we are aware of. A workaround may be to manually add the attachment to the Workflow Server so you can use the "Server attachment" option in the activity.
