[Possible Bug] Laserfiche Template Export and Import - Dynamic Fields not exported !

Looked that the instructions to export templates and fields at http://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/8.2/en-US/AdminGuide/Content/Importing_Exporting_a_Metadata_Object.htm

It all works great but it fails to export Dynamic Fields, even though the same named external tables exist, the XML file export for the fields tied in to dynamic data export with no linkage or any information about dynamic fields.

Anyone have any ideas how templates can be export that includes the Dynamic Fields along with them ?

Hi Sumeet,

This does appear to be a bug. However, a workaround would be to use the original repository and assign that template with the dynamic fields to a document. Then export that document as a briefcase. Next, import the briefcase into the second repository and the template along with the dynamic field mappings should be added properly.

I'll update this thread when the issue has been addressed.

I will wait for a proper fix instead of having to muck around with briefcase export and imports.
