Question

lf 9.1 can not find repository

asked on July 9, 2014

We moved the LF server from a 2003 server to a 2008 R2 VM and upgraded from 8.3 to 9.1.  We are haveing some issues with certain Win 7 workstations not being able to find the repository using windows auth.  If logged into the machine as domain administrator it works fine.  We have checked firewalls and antivirus.  Need some help.

Thanks

John

Was the option to scan the network for repositories previously disabled? Did users previously attach the repository that was hosted on the old server?

In the Client's "Available Repositories" window, see if you can right click on the repository and remove it. Then try attaching the repository that's hosted on the new server.

Another option may be to just re-enable the option to scan the network for repositories.

What's the exact error they get when trying to attach the repository while logged into Windows as a regular user?

"Could not connect to the Laserfiche Server [797]"

Is the issue only with logging in using Windows Authentication? Can those users log in using an LF username and password successfully?

At this point it may be best to open a support case so the issue can be looked into thoroughly.
