If you're talking about Laserfiche Scanning, there is no limitation on who can scan and from where as long as they are assigned a full license and the proper rights. Quick Fields licenses are per machine.

I believe the same goes for ScanConnect licenses that they are per machine.

SO ScanConnect is a locked license? But I could use a different scanner driver?

Yes, the other scan engines do not have licensing restrictions.

ScanConnect is an interface which allows our applications to work with a scanner's ISIS driver. If you don't have ScanConnect (or Kofax) then our applications can only work with the scanner's TWAIN driver.
