Good Day Folks:
So as of the recent update, we have a pretty serious concern and I'm curious to know if others have faced a similar issue.
The great majority of our employees work with multiple entries on a daily basis. Each one of these individual entries moves through our file structure based on the status of the entry. The file structure consists of different folders which serve as benchmarks for the entry. Now, depending on where this file is, different pieces of information need to be seen. With that, each folder in the structure has different columns that need to be present. We currently have the "Column Options" field of "Remembered for each individual folder" selected because each folder does indeed have individual information associated.
Now, prior to the latest update, this was all fine & dandy. Our users could freely move through the file structure without hesitation. Once the latest update was released, the refresh speed sometimes takes up to 70-90 seconds to navigate between folders that show two different column views. Now, changing my column options to "Applied to all folders" does indeed fix the issue...however, it is nothing more than a band-aid solution because we have built our entire operation on the notion that the user can browse freely between folders without needing to load the columns for the new folder.
We noticed that the less entries in the folder, the faster it loads. But honestly, the nature of our business is that one folder could have onwards of 60 or 70 folders. Just to put it in perspective, 70 entries works out to roughly a 70-90 second load time (with the occasional LF client lock-up)... No good for our users with 125-130 entries in a folder!!!
Anyone else experiencing this type of thing? Any recommendations?
Tony
