Can Workflow create Records Folders? With so many different records series it is somewhat time consuming to create records folders when the system can create regular folders but I have to manually create the Records folders to put them in. I read the answer to a similar question to mine, saying that the DOD 5015 requirement says that you can't have anything automated from a records management standpoint. Does that really relate to creating the records folder. I understand if you are destroying the folders.

Answer
Ben is correct. The Laserfiche Server automatically makes any folders created in the root of a record series into record folders.
As far as assigning record properties, there is nothing built into Workflow for records management at this time. But you can set those through a script activity.

Hey there,
Folders created within the bottom levels of a record series will be automatically created as records folders.

Kelsey, Thanks for checking on my request. I mean no disrespect to Ben and I appreciate that he answered my question, but if I here the same answer from more than one person, my confidence in the answer increases dramatically. So is it true I can create Records folder (not just folders) with Workflow? If so, can I also assign a filing date, cut off instructions and retention schedule to the folder?
