default template settings for importing from microsoft office

When a user imports a document from the microsoft office extention or through outlook into the repository, is there any setting that can be used to default the template on the document to that of the parent folder?

We already have the [settings]ImportTemplateName set to <use parent folder's default template>, but this does not appear to work with documents that are imported from the microsoft office extention.

Hey Margaret,

Check out the Options Menu in the Laserfiche Client under Tools>Options>New Documents>Outlook for additional options on the defaults for imported emails including the ability to set up a default template. I don't believe there is a way to default a template from other Microsoft Office products, but you may be able to set up a simple workflow to wait for certain electronic file types to be imported before assigning the default template.
