I gave the user the read only and browse feature in the main database folder. Then I placed another folder within. I gave the user all access rights to this folder. Unfortunately, it will not allow her to scan. What am I doing wrong?

Question
How can I set the scan feature even though I have already given the user all rights?
Answer
Hi Jennifer,
First, make sure that Laserfiche Scanning is installed on the workstation as part of the Laserfiche Client suite. Next, confirm that the user in question is using a full connection and not a read-only connection to the repository. While in the Laserfiche Administration Console, also confirm that the user in question has the Scan feature right assigned. Lastly, check the entry access rights that are configured in the repository itself. You mentioned that at the root level, you've given the user the browse and read rights and that at the next subfolder level, you've given the user all access rights. Please make sure that at the root folder level, you didn't deny the user all other rights besides read and browse and that the scope of those rights is set accordingly, i.e. "This folder only"
If there is still an issue where the user is unable to scan, please contact your Laserfiche reseller to open a support case so the issue can be looked into further.
