Our office is looking to use a simple approved/not approved/pending radio button set in the metadata of several scanned document types. The forms are state-mandated for applying exemptions to property tax. Once they are submitted by the taxpayer and scanned, we'd like to search for those categories for reporting purposes.

Using tags is not the best option as we want it to be a required field and only one of three allowed.
