Error code 9013 when copying between repository

asked on June 23, 2014 Show version history

 Good morning,

When I try to copy documents between repositories, I get the following error:

Error Code: 9013

Error Message: Permission denied.

Access denied. [9013:0xc0042335]

------------ Technical Details: ------------

LFCommonDialogs83.dll (8.3.1.661):

    Call Stack: (Current)

        CImport::ImportBriefcaseStream

    Call History:

           GetProfileValue

          CVolumeComboBox::AddVolume

         CVolumeFolderDialog::OnOK

          WriteOptionString ([Settings]BriefcaseVolume)

           SetProfileValue

            AddProfile

             LoadAttributePrefix

             UpdateProfile

Any suggestions on how to copy documents between repositories?

I am using a 64 bit Windows 7 machine, I am an administrator, and I am using Windows authentication to log in to Laserfiche. I have full permissions in both repositories that I am trying to work with. One of my coworkers is able to copy between repositories, and he supposedly has an identical rig and setup as I do, so I'm having difficulty isolating the issue with my workstation.

Thank you,

Rosie

This error occurs when a user does not have access to an entry, template, field, volume, or certain actions. Even though you are an administrator, there may be restrictions on your access. For example, in the creation of a new folder, document or repository, the creator may not have granted you access rights.

The error message shown states the error occurred in the import rather than the export of the documents. Check your access rights for the repository, volume and folders that you are trying to move the documents to.

Note: Having access to a repository does not mean that you have access to all of its volumes.

Info on the error message itself is found in the help files.

Good luck!

Katie

The weird thing is that I am part of a Laserfiche group with two other users and one test account. All access rights and privileges are assigned to the group, not to the individual users. I think there may be an issue with Windows7 on my machine. One person from our group can copy between repositories, the others cannot. The test account can copy between repositories on other workstations, but not on mine. This may be a Windows 7 issue and not Laserfiche.

It is possible that the test user was granted individual access or access as a part of another group. Try exporting the documents to your desktop and then dragging and dropping them into the second repository from there. If that doesn’t work, contact your VAR for support. It is most likely an issue with your security setup.

We can't use that workaround any longer; for some reason when I drag PDF files into Laserfiche, the file size just balloons.

When I log on to another user's machine using my credentials, the copying between repositories works great. I'm not sure how to isolate this issue on my workstation It sounds like I will have to contact support. Thanks.

The proposed test is to export as a LF Briefcase to your local desktop and then import the briefcase into the other repository.  This keeps the images as tiff as well as has the ability of bringing the metadata with the document(s).
