Question

Question

deleting shortcuts

asked on June 18, 2014

I have a parallel branch running with 3 options. Each of them create a shortcut to the parent folder entry.   In one of the branches i have a wait for approval step so i can capture the user name that approved the step and assign that to a field. (which works fine)

After the last step i have a "delete shortcuts" so that i removes the shortcut from this step

Price Check

Route to Price Check 3

Routing Folder

Problem is it deletes the shortcuts from the other parallel steps.  Any ideas of what is going on or how to setup properly

The Delete Shortcuts activity, by design, deletes ALL shortcuts to the selected entry. If you want to delete a specific shortcut use the Delete Entry activity and point it to the activity that created the one shortcut you'd like to remove.

Alternatively, you can move the shortcut you created to a folder that no one has access to, and delete that folder. you might wanna make that route to a subfolder since you are doing this in bulk, this way that parent folder always has the same access rights. this will delete only that shortcut
