Could you explain further what the "Processing Laserfiche XML import list files" is? Thanks.

It's a new and more powerful replacement for the old .lst list file in order to provide batch processing rules. It's actually been present in the SDK libraries for a while, but we were able to include support in Import Agent for this release. The Import Agent 9 documentation includes a lot of information on it and samples and schema references are provided when you install Import Agent 9. I'd strongly recommend using that instead of the (still supported, but legacy) .lst format if you use list import files.

We had encountered an issue with IA where in the settings on the Options-Advanced Tab are not taken into effect by Import Agent. Even if we set the delay to 45 seconds for a file to picked up after it's modified time, IA will grab the file immediately.

If a scanning application is still completing the file transfer IA grabs the incomplete file from the hot folder & transfers it into Laserfiche.

On reporting this issue Presales told us that Laserfiche has noted this issue & it will be fixed in the 9.0 release.

I have downloaded the 9.0 version & tested. The issue still exists.

Any word on why this has not been fixed?

I looked at the case notes for this issue (157449) and it shows the case was resolved as the feature was indeed working as designed. Support identified there was an issue where the documentation was unclear as to how it behaved which was slated to be addressed in the 9.0 release and, indeed, the documentation issue was resolved and it now clearly states: "Under File monitoring interval, specify the number of seconds that must elapse between each time that Import Agent will check for new files."

I'm also not able to recreate the issue. I have Import Agent 9 configured where the "New files" advanced setting is set to 300 seconds. I have one file that was modified a few days ago and then created a brand new file where the "last modified" date was just now, when the file was created. I immediately copied both files and pasted them into the Import Agent monitored directory at the same time. The file from a few days ago imported immediately whereas the new file didn't get imported until there was a 5 minute difference between the last modified time and current system time.

I can recreate the issue. I have IA 9 installed. If needed we can setup a webex & I can show you. Maybe I have some settings different or not doing something correctly. If this can be fixed then it will be a huge help for some of our clients who have the IA setup to pick up files on a schedule at off hours and not continuously as incomplete files were being picked up.
