Question

Forms Lookup Rule does not populate

asked on June 16, 2014

I have a database that looks up a payroll code based on their location. If i have it looking at a field it pulls the info in. If i have the data matching from a table drop down, or collections, the lookup does not work. Please help....I have attached screens shots

So, when you are matching a field in a table or collection, your lookup rule is not filling a field outside of that table or collection? This should work in Forms 9.1.1, although if the table has repeatable rows or if the collection is repeatable, the lookup will run on the last row or field that was modified in the collection. It's possible that you are running into this issue.

What version of Forms are you using?

I am running 9.1, and the row in the table is not repeatable, the collection was. I would prefer the table just for aesthetics, but was attempting the collection to see if it would work there.

Is it possible that there's a typo in the choices for the table's drop-down field? That might explain why a match isn't being found.

I have verified there is not a type. i have even copy and pasted the list from the other list, and none of the options from the dropdown will pull a match.

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. You may need to open a support case so we can further troubleshoot this issue.
