Save Unfinished Form - Why the need to enter E-Mail address & password?

asked on June 11, 2014

I do not understand the functionality concerning the need to fill out an E-Mail address and password when saving an unfinished form. Can't I assume that the same person that started to fill out the form would be the one to finish it?  If this is true doesn't this portion of Forms know the person's E-Mail address from Active Directory.  It does in other functions/places within forms.

If I can't disable the need to fill out an E-Mail address and password (and default to the users E-Mail address) is there something I can do to automatically use the users E-Mail address from Active Directory like the rest of the Forms product?

Thanks for your suggestion! We working on improving this feature for a future release. As Blake mentions, the current design allows for both Laserfiche and public users to save a form

You are assuming that everyone that wants to save an unfinished form has a license to use Forms. But what about public users?

The current functionality has it's purpose, but I believe it should be improved upon for users that are logged in. See here.

I'm with Blake, more functionality would be great on this feature.
