Question

Indexing keeps getting stuck on a few documents

asked on June 10, 2014

Ever since we went to 9.1.1 or maybe 9.1 our LFFTS service will get stuck on certain documents and totally crashes, you can no longer search and you cannot restart the windows service, you have to kill it. Then when you start it again it starts a few back from where it was goes all the way back up to that document and then crashes again.

It seems to start to happen after one of the clients crash for some reason (once it would crash when we tried to restore two pages from the recycle bin) and then after that index and search will be broken until you play with nuking the search index.

Last time I had to use the command line re-index tool before it would work.

The documents it are getting stuck on are at least 4 years old, and it never used to have issues.

There is nothing logged to the windows event log.

Anyone have a similar issue, or any thoughts?

Thanks

Joel
