An error occurred while generating a license

When trying to activate an Avante license, I get the following error message: "Error occurred while trying to generate a license."  Looks like someone else has also gotten this message before.  Last time, it occurred when the Laserfiche Activation Servers were acting up.  I wonder if the servers are acting up right now.  I tried to chat with Pre-Sales but it looks like the chat is unavailable. 

 

Anything going on with the Laserfiche Activation Servers?  Thanks!

I don't know for certain it this is the issue, but we are currently experiencing a large network outage. Given the past error, I'd guess this is related as well. That's also why PreSales Chat is down.

 

Our IT staff is working to resolve the outage and will hopefully have it shortly, but I don't have a specific ETA.

I tried activating Quick Fields just to see what I would get and I got something similar.  In Quick Fields, I got the message "Activation failed. [0109-QF0]".  I went into the ActivationLog and found the following message:

6/9/2014 5:32:00 PM: Product activation failed; please contact Laserfiche Support for assistance. (Error occurred while trying to generate a license.)(1740)
6/9/2014 5:32:00 PM: Tool exited with status code: -2.(1740)

Thanks so much for the update, Justin!  I had a feeling that was it but just wanted some confirmation.  Would you please update this post when the issue has been resolved?  We're performing installations/upgrades today and need the activation.  Thanks, Justin!

Yes, I will post as soon as I know what's up. I'm outside of the main office myself (which is why I can get to Answers in the first place!) so I'm unable to provide more specific ETAs just yet.

I am trying to activate DCC , I'm getting the same error

Product activation failed is a very generic message so it doesn't necessarily mean it's the same issue. I'd contact support and they can look into your activation setup.
