Question

Using Mobile 9.1.1.75 from workstation

asked on June 6, 2014

After installation and configuration trying to access Mobile from workstation:
http://servername/mobile produced error 403.14- forbidden.
It is to be expected because there are only aspx page in ...\WebFiles is configuration.aspx
and page with link http://servername/mobile/configuration.aspx loads ok.
I was unable to find any information how to navigate Mobile (for testing) from computers.

Thank you

That's correct, mobile itself can only be access through apps - for browsers you would use Web Access. There is no App for Windows phones at present.

The Mobile app? Those are native applications that are downloaded from the Google Play and iTunes stores. The web applications in IIS are just the back-end interfaces that those apps talk to.

Generally speaking, it is possible to run an Android or Apple App on a desktop if you use a mobile phone emulator such as the one that comes with the Android development kit, or even an app player such as Bluestacks. There are a variety of free and paid emulators available.
