First question of the new Empower topic! :)

With registration open, I'd like to request something I had requested too late in the game last year ( https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/47644/Empower14--Schedule-on-my-Calendar )

I'd like to subscribe to a calendar with my class schedule on it. For me, the best implementation would be just like subscribing to an ical calendar on my phone. That way, schedule changes on the site would be automatically reflected on the calendar.

I'm sure you guys are very busy, and I hate to even ask, but maybe if you have some spare time... :)

Hi Mike!

Thanks for your request, and congratulations of having the honor of being the first person to ask a question about Empower 2015 on Answers! We're excited to announce this year (for the first time in several years) we are completely overhauling the UI of the Empower Course Picker. Not only will the design be simplified, the course picker will be completely responsive and accessible/editable on all devices. You will have the ability to view your schedule that has been created inside the course picker which will be updated in real time as any changes occur (or you move from the waitlist to enrolled in a particular session).

This UI overhaul will set the stage for future growth and allow us to implement many new ideas moving forward. While we would love to implement every suggestion (and yours is one that has already come up!) it will take some time to reach the point where .ics files can be coupled with conference courses. Our fundamental goal moving forward is accessibility so the key focus this year has been on ease of use, especially for those picking classes for the first time!

While we are indeed busy, we love hearing your suggestions so thanks for taking the time to share this with us!

Just 223 days to go until Empower 2015!
