Forms configuration 9.1 Email settings not accepting an email address with .local as the extension

asked on June 3, 2014

When trying to configure the email settings for Forms, the sender's email will not accept .local as the extension.

As the emails are internal they have .local as the extension, if being received externally they have .com etc.

Is their away round this?

Hey there,

Yes it seems to have a limit on the length of the TLD name (.local, .com, .biz, etc.)

On my test server I got around this restriction by creating a secondary domain for email resolution. See attached image. The MX entries may be overkill for Forms but are useful for hMailServer.
