Where do you enable/disable auto checkout of documents when opening them?

I wasn't aware there was an auto checkout option for documents? Documents that are opened in Laserfiche will automatically become read-only for other users. The document icon will display a small lock on the thumbnail similar to how a "checked-out" document looks like. The main difference between just opening a document and checking out a document is that when you close a check out document it will still remain read-only to other users until you check it back in.
Just to clarify- documents in Laserfiche will become read-only (i.e. become 'locked') if a user opens the document AND has an unsaved change on the document. The lock will persist until the change(s) are saved, the user's session expires or is ended, or the lock is terminated by an administrator.
This feature has been discussed before as a product enhancement, but at present there is no 'automatically check out on open' functionality.
Can anyone confirm if this auto lock function is now in the latest version of Laserfiche???
As of Laserfiche 10, when you open electronic documents in the Web Client, you are prompted to view read-only or check-out for editing. So if you are editing the document, you have automatically checked it out.
