I know that some of our customers are indeed using EMC VNX for volume storage, but I don't have much knowledge beyond that - of pros and cons of EMC's file storage solutions.

More generally, Laserfiche is "hardware-agnostic" when it comes to storage options. Documents can be stored archived in any location that can be accessible via a UNC path. This means that storage locations can be on any file server and the operating system of that file server does not really matter. 
 

Hopefully someone with direct experience can chime in if there are any specific issues they ran into, otherwise I think you're good to go!
