Question

email attachment format

asked on May 29, 2014

Hi, In Email attachment screen, If you choose  'pdf (color/ grayscale)" for option ' images will be sent in this format' , it will revert to ' default (color/greyscale/bw)' when you sign off and back on. Is there a way to keep it  as 'pdf'?

If tools/options/export/images has pdf for both formats and the above option is left as " default (color/greyscale/bw)" , attachment will be pdf so not an issue. However it is confusing to see option in this way.

Thanks Valerie

Hey Valerie,

The option 'Default Format (color/grayscale/B&W)' is basically a way of saying 'default to whatever I have set in Options->Export->Images', as you pointed out. The idea is that you set your images to default to your favorite format that you will use most often when you export. Then, you can manually change the option in the attachments dialog for special cases.

I could see how it might be simpler for some users if the client/Web Access just remembered whatever this drop down was set to last, or if the drop down displayed as 'PDF' when the setting in Options is set to 'PDF' (rather than just saying default). We can look into changing this in a future release.

Ryan, Great thanks. Just wanted to confirm that I did not miss something. It would be nice to reflect what is in tools/options/export/images . valerie
