Question

Image orientation, or rotation flags or tags

asked on May 28, 2014

Our production LF7 system uses Oracle as the db.  We have a browser based CMS system that queries LF7 for customer documents and then displays those LF7 documents in the CMS system.  The information retrieved from the LF7 db includes a rotation flag to correct the image orientation when displayed.  LF9 does not appear to have this rotation flag within the db, so when the images are displayed they are in the same orientation as when they were scanned.  Is this flag missing from LF9, was it renamed to something else, or does LF9 deal with image orientation differently?

In Laserfiche 9, the page_flags column in the doc table handles page rotation information. However, please note that because of schema changes that occur (as you've noticed from LF 7 to LF 9), it is recommended to use the Laserfiche SDK for these types of integrations instead of querying the database directly.
