Question

empty recycle bin

asked on May 26, 2014

 Hi there!

Is there a way to clear the recycle bin fo laserfiche through a specific date by command line in the database??

Our problem is that one of our client didn't put a specific date to clean the recycle bin and they did not erase the files in there, now there are so many files that as we click in the recycle bin in the LF client or Admin Console it gives a erro saying that the program is not responded.

Thanks for the help

Have a good day!

Hi Vitor,

You should be able to do what you would like to do without going into the Laserfiche database. From the Laserfiche Administration Console you can set a time limit for content to be stored in the recycle bin. You'll find this under the Recycle Bin Settings.

With a time limit enabled on your recycle bin the system will automatically purge all entries that have been in there for the specified number of days. Using this setting should keep your recycle bin from getting too large.
