Question

I am processing a document through QF and moving it into another folder within Laserfiche, it does not retain its original template?

asked on May 23, 2014

Hello everyone

Using QF session (version 9) I am picking up a job from one folder and processing the job and moving it into another folder.  Once I do this the assigned template is removed from the final document in second folder.  Why QF is doing this?

I just OCRing the documents and generating pages for PDF.

Thanks

Then like I said above, you can use the merging settings in the document class to specify whether you want to keep the existing template or let the document class update it.

Documents created by Quick Fields are new documents, so they will have the template specified in the document class.

If you would like to put the pages back in the original document, then you can turn on the option to merge documents in the document class. Depending on how you set the second folder, Quick Fields may not be able to move the documents for you in this case.

How about if I keep the file in the the same folder?

For template I am using the "use the template from the document in Laserfiche"

I tried the merge option also tried it on the same folder and also, tried it with move the original to second folder.  Now it doesn't even generate the pages.   On merge I am using the template from the Laserfiche and replace option.

I changed the Replace to Append and it is working now.  I would have thought that append would increase the size of actual PDF file but it didn't.

Thanks Miruna
