Workflow does not complete or gives an error when using find manager

I want to use Find Manager in a workflow.  It either errors out saying it cannot find the user or it runs and runs and runs.  I am new to this.  I created a trustee directory.  It finds the info fine in the workflow designer but not when I run it.  I also checked the Laserfiche services to see who it was running under and used that as authentication.

Are you using version 8.3?

Our network person is out today and she applies the hotfixes.  We will try that when she gets back.

I go to that KB article and try to download the 64 bit version and get a "This page can't be displayed".

Denise tried to install and got the attached error.

 

After checking versions  ...

 

we are running .dll versions 9.1.1.365…….this is for 9.1.1.381 so the hotfix is newer…not sure why it is not installing
