Fresh install of QF with Agent. When I try to start up the agent I get this message connecting to the local machine. I have ensured the service is running, tried restarting the service, and ran a repair on the whole QF install including Agent.

Started a support case and just posting the solution.
There is a quick fields agent config file in the QF program files folder. It is xml format and there is two locations where the port is listed as part of a weblink. Search for 8000. Change it to the port you want to use in both places and save the config. Restart the service.
Is there anything in the event log? You've verified that the Agent service has started OK?
Are the ports used by LF and QF/QF agent the standard ports or were those changed?
No change, just a fresh install. I am waiting for connection to check event logs.
You should check for port conflicts when you have access to the machine.
Ok it did turn out to be a port conflict. Is there a way to change the port even though I can't open the application?
What application is conflicting with QF Agent and what port is it using?
This software, port 8000
