I know QF session has settings for PDF to extract words and generate Laserfiche pages. I am wondering if QF session can do the same thing for other electronic documents such word, text, excel and etc.?
Thanks

The only electronic documents that Quick Fields can generate image pages for are PDFs. If you wish to extract text from other e-docs you can use the "Text Extraction" process in pre-classification.
Hi Matt
The Text extraction works, I can search for the content of the word document and it finds it. I need to generate Laserfiche page (thumbnails). I tried Text Extraction in QF and have it setup to create pages every 60 lines but it does not work. In the Text Extraction setup there are two selection one is for office 2003 and another for office 2007. The option for 2007 is grayed out and I can't select it. No matter what I do, I can't generate pages.
It will not generate thumbnails, just text that you can search for. The reason Office 2007 is grayed out is you likely do not have it installed on that machine.
Check out the help page to make sure everything is setup correctly, namely that you are using the "Keep electronic file" and you may also want the "Keep each file as a separate document" option.
Thanks Matt
