Question

Business Process Wording

asked on May 14, 2014

I am using business processes to communicate what workflow did to the document (renamed, moved, filled from database, ...) using an Update Business Process activity.  The issue I have is that it automatically shows "Status changed from "..." to "..." and I just want it to post what I provide. Is there a better way to provide this information to the users through a Business Process after the process is completed?

I think the best solution for you is a Business Process Step. Business Process steps let you give instructions to users for the step in progress and set resolutions for completed steps.

That does seem to be the best solution.  I am loading everything I do to a document in a history token (a remnant of the days before BP's when we had a History field) and am writing that out to the resolution as the last step of the Workflow.  I hesitated to create a BP step just to load the resolution but so far that is working great.  Thanks for the help.
