Question

Security -Hiding Folders

asked on May 14, 2014

How do you hide the main folders for a specific user?  I have set up security not to be able to see folders, subfolders and documents but the user still sees the main folders within the repository.  The only effective right is the browse and I can not turn this off.

Thanks

By default all users can browse the entire repository. I think it is configured this way for a performance benefit while searching (since security does not need to be checked before returning the search results).

To turn this off go to the Administration Console and login to your repository.

Select Users and Groups, Everyone. Right click the Everyone account and remove the Bypass Browse privilege.
