Storing Laserfiche Data on a Linux Server

asked on May 9, 2014

I have a customer that is wondering about storing the Laserfiche Volumes on a Linux machine. I know that you can store the Volumes on a separate machine. You would use the UNC path to point to the folder.

Is this possible with Linux? Is there already somebody out there using a Linux Server for the Laserfiche Volumes?

As long as the Laserfiche services can see the UNC path, it should work just fine. Our volumes are currently stored on a SAN via CIFS shares, and while the SAN is off-the-shelf appliance, it's basically a Linux box under the covers.
