Could you describe the steps the customer takes to e-mail the link from outlook and what they are trying to accomplish.

Customer right clicked on the document in lfclient>e-mail document>checked the "link" box>create e-mail; and got the following error message.

Unknown error. [499Invalid class string].

What if they choose to send a copy of the document, can the email be created?

Can they send email outside laserfiche? Open windows explorer, choose a file, right click and select Send to mail recipient.

I have a customer that is having that same issue. I tried right clicking on the document, email document, and I still get the same error. Any ideas on how to resolve this error so the customer can email out from the client?

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client.

Hi Sophia,

Can you send email outside Laserfiche? You can open Windows Explorer, browse to any file on the desktop and right click > Send to > Mail recipient. See if you are able to create an email with attachment.

If that doesn't work either, you may need to repair Office install.

Hello Xiaoxiao,

Yes, I was able to create an email with the attachment by right clicking on a document in Windows Explorer by right click > Send to > Mail recipient. But still not from Laserfiche.

Please try this KB and see if it helps. If the issue remains, please create a support case, providing details of the issue, including the OS of the machine with issue, what users are affected and what you've done to troubleshoot it.
