Question

Question

Client hangs for all users at a remote VPN site only when browsing a certain folder.

asked on April 29, 2014

This one has me puzzled how to figure it out. I've upgraded to latest 9.1.1 but even that hasn't solved it.

We have a branch office that two of our users work from that's connected by VPN so all access is using local internal names.

We can login and browse folders from the branch office fine but since roughly a week ago there is a specific folder we can't browse to. If we do it just hangs the client indefinitely with the spinning circle. Other folders work fine.

The folder is small with a standard type name and just has roughly 10 subfolders under it with no files in the main folder.

Other things of note:

-The problem occurs with multiple users including one with bypass browse.

-The problem occurs on multiple computers at the remote office.

-The problem does NOT occur with those same users if they login to Laserfiche from the main office and browse the same folder.

-The main office users have no trouble browsing that folder.

-Browsing works 100% for everyone in Web Access.

Please open a case with Laserfiche Support. Provide LFSO and WinHTTP traces from both the branch office and the main office where they log into the Client using the same LF user to browse a good folder and then the bad folder. That way we can use the traces to compare what may be different regarding the two locations and that specific folder.
