LF Forms and Topaz Signature Pad

asked on April 29, 2014

I am looking to add a signature to forms utilizing a Topaz signature pad.  Has anyone tried this and been successful?  The modle that I am using is the Topaz TLBK43.

This link should get you started:

http://www.topazsystems.com/Software/download/sigplusweb.htm

this is a plugin that runs on windows that allows you to integrate it with a website. There are examples there for integrating with javascript.

I've never done this! that being said If it can display the signature you can probably capture that image when it saves back to Laserfiche. You can look at the demo signature piece for how to do that.

We talked about using a 3rd party signature pad, but after we were able to get an HTML5 canvas to collect the signature, we decided against the 3rd party signature pad. Is there a specific reason you would want to go with the signature pad?

I'll chime in here.

So, we are also looking at finding a way to integrate Topaz Sig Pads into LF Forms. Our institution is a Credit Union.  The reason being is that our members/customers use these sig pads to sign receipts, checks, etc.  So, it's a consistency in service sort of thing.

I love the ability to type or sign using a mouse but logistically (with the counters and setup at our bank branches) the members don't easily have access to a mouse and keyboard at most of our locations.  So, a sig pad (which is at every location) is a more viable solution.
