Question

Attaching a Laserfiche file to a website upload form

asked on April 28, 2014

Is there a way to attach a Laserfiche file to a general website form or upload? Example, this website asks when entering a question to 'Attach a file'. When you click Choose File, it opens Windows Explorer (or other OS file manager). Other than exporting the document to say the desktop and uploading that way, is there a way to get it directly from the repository?

You can accomplish this using WebDAV, which allows you to map a network drive to a Laserfiche repository. This method would allow you to open an online form, select to attach a file, and then navigate to the network drive in Windows Explorer to select the document from Laserfiche you would like to upload.

I think you would have to build your own file browser that would include integrating with the Laserfiche SDK.

Another idea is if it would work with the Laserfiche Search Connector available with Web Access.
