We just tried to add an External URL bookmark in the WebLink Designer. The issue is that if the characters at the front are anything other than "http://", it prepends "http://". This creates a problem when we wanted the external URL to point to an https address. The result was http://https://servername/weblink.

The current workaround is to edit the bookmarks.xml file directly.
