Is there any way to set a particular folder path as the default path for documents to import to when utilizing the Save to Laserfiche function like you can with Snapshot?

In Laserfiche 9.0.3 and later, there is an attribute specifically used with Outlook that can specify a default folder for emails to be saved into. This attribute is called [Settings]SendToOutlookFolder and its value is just a repository path, i.e. \Office Plugin Testing. This attribute is set at the user level and whenever I send an email from Outlook to my repository as this user, it will automatically save it to the Office Plugin Testing folder I have just under the root of the repository.
In regards to other Office applications, an enhancement request can be filed.
Hi Alex,
I am wondering if this setting is available in version 10.2? I have had a request for this as the files being saved are always being reverted to the location selected within the Client which is causing a lot of confusion for one of our clients as some files are sensitive and should not be going to those locations.
Basically, when they are saving attachments using Outlook:
They would like it to always default to a specific folder path and not the path highlighted within the client they have opened i.e:
Folder highlighted within Client before saving:
is then displayed when trying to save attachment into LF:
We would like it to default to only 1 Root Directory all the time, is this possible? and if so, how? i.e the below location as mandatory:
Please advise,
Thank you
Ziad
Hi Ziad,
There is an option when saving attachment, please try to uncheck "To Laserfiche web client or Windows client"
Hi Huazhen,
Thank you for this, but looks like we need to uncheck this everytime to be able to do this? Which then also means extra options to specify how to log into the repository?
Are there any other alternatives to this? We really would like it to just default to one destination only through out the whole setup for this specific client?
Thank you
Ziad
Hi Ziad,
I see. So you would like to save attachments to default folder, similar to "Save to Default folder" in outlook ribbon for emails, right? It is a good enhancement for us, but I am afraid it is too late to add it into 10.3. We will consider it later release.
Hi Huazhen,
Please do, as we now require to create a Workflow to try find any documents that should not be in the folder and move them periodically. The users are not always checking where it is saving and are under the assumption that it defaults to a general path and not the path the have selected within the client.
Thank you
Ziad
