Question

Lock pane positions to prevent changes to layout

asked on April 23, 2014 Show version history

I suspect the answer is 'no' but I want to verify:

Is it possible, or are there workarounds, to prevent changes to viewer and scanning pane layouts? Is it possible to restrict access to the Client and Scanning options menu items?

If not, is it possible to reset pane positions after closing?

Thank you for your reply.

You can lock the display by selecting "Lock Display" located under the View tab which will help prevent users from accidentally moving/deleting things. Also, the settings for the panes are saved for each user. This means that if person A were to go in and remove all the display panes then it will only look that way for person A. When in the document viewer or scanning interface, there's also a very handy feature in the view tab called "restore default layout." This is really useful when you accidentally delete a pane that you didn't mean to.
