Question

Using Quick Fields to for Multiple Complex lookups

asked on April 22, 2014

I'd like to be able to perform a look-up based on multiple values I've retrieved from the page and, if that fields, do a look-up on another set of values form the page.

For example,  I'd like to be able to query a database for a record number and a last name and, if found, assign values for remaining tokens but, if not found, using the last name, first name, and DOB for the lookup.

Is it possible to do that with Quick Fields 9.1? Also, I don't have a Document Type license.

Thanks

Adam

Do you happen to have workflow? What your describing is exactly what workflow was designed to do.

I have done a similar project where Quickfields extracts the information, passes it to workflow and multiple cross references are made through conditional logic.
