Basically, we have a form that is public facing. Some users should have their information filled in automatically from AD based on their current user and others should have to type the information in. Is this possible?

Question
Is there any special configuration required to ensure that the Current User token is automatically filled in when using the Laserfiche Forms Portal located in a DMZ?

When Forms is installed in a DMZ, the presumption is that the server is not on the same Domain. Therefore, there is no way for Forms to validate the Active Directory credentials of a user logged in to that server. I ran in to this issue last year, so that may have changed, but I don't believe so.
This is a major problem for folks that want Forms to be public facing, but also allow for authenticated users on that same server. I hope they will address this issue in the future. Right now, it means we have to install Forms twice -- internally, for Forms that want to take advantage of AD accounts, and externally for Forms to be filled out by public users.
That also leads to needing two Forms Portal licenses if you want to have Portal used on both servers.
Thanks for this feedback. I thought this was a restriction in 9.0 as well, but I was hoping it might have changed as a side effect of allowing for participant licenses in 9.1. It would be great to hear from Laserfiche on this topic.
As an aside, a white paper might be warranted for forms licensing given it has increased in complexity.
