Hi there,

In short, you can accomplish both of these things with Laserfiche!

For the Word documents, you want to make it so that the users can browse to the contents of the repository outside of Laserfiche. By configuring WebDAV you’ll allow users to browse to the Word documents they want using the Windows browser. Once the document is open the users can take advantage of Laserfiche’s Office Integration to save the edited document directly into the repository.

For attaching files stored in Laserfiche to Outlook messages, it’s as simple as using the Laserfiche Office Integration! While writing an email, the users will go to the Laserfiche ribbon and select “Attach Laserfiche Document.” This will allow them to browse for the document they want in the Laserfiche repository.
