Laserfiche Forms date field: Force 'widget' to be on a single line with the input field & label text

With date fields within Laserfiche Forms, how can I force the date 'widget' to appear on the same line as the input field and label text?

 

See the attached image for the result I would like and the one that I do not want.

I have now resolved this problem, but thank you for you help.

That's very odd. Does the date field have enough width? Sometimes HTML elements will start to wrap if they are constrained in a narrow space.

This behavior occurs when the date field doesn't have enough space to expand all the way, like Devin suggested. I've had this problem most frequently when I've been using CSS to style the field. Are you placing fields side-by-side? Have you applied any CSS to the page?
