A QF newbie here. I have successfull attached to an external SQL database. How to I assign token values to data? Do I need a parameter for every value I need from that external database?

Have a look at both the Lookup and Real-Time Lookup processes.

 

Those two help documents explain how to attach to a data source, execute a query, and use the returned data in your document.

 

I could be wrong, but I believe Real-Time Lookup is an add-on.
