Notification on Checked-Out Documents

Is there a way that someone can be notified by email automatically if a particular document has been checked out of the system for a set duration? For example, if I check out a document, and I leave it checked out for longer than 3 days, can Laserfiche send an email to my boss saying that the document has been checked out for too long?

There isn't existing functionality that will send email notifications based on the duration of checked out documents. Though a user can go into Tasks / Tools -> Checked Out Documents to view all the documents they have currently checked out in the repository.

 

If you're familiar with the SDK, you could probably write something to search the repository for documents that have been checked out with a last modified date exceeding 3 days, and then send an email notification with links to those documents.
